Brandon Florida Realtors Kick Off Military Phone Card Program

Serving your country in the military is a very noble endeavor. Being away from your family and friends while serving is a gigantic sacrifice and there is no better feeling than to speak to those at home during a break in their duties where ever that may be. Dave Tipton, broker and manager of Florida’s Beautiful Homes- Realtors, said “This project was a natural fit for us. First off we have tremendous respect for those who defend and protect our country and second, we have met and helped numerous military families relocate to the Tampa Bay area and we feel a very close connection to them”.
To honor our troops, Florida’s Beautiful Homes™ has joined Realtors around the country in promoting and donating money for phone calling cards that the USO will distribute to U.S. active duty troops. The USO has set up a dedicated webpage for credit card donations.
Details:
- A donation buys international calling cards that the USO gives to deployed members of the U.S. armed services – the item most requested by our men and women serving overseas.
- Donations are fully tax deductible.
- Anyone may donate. Encourage Facebook friends and family to support our troops. Let’s make this thing project go viral.
- The USO will customize the calling cards with the Florida Realtors logo, so every soldier knows who paid for the call.
- The USO receives and tracks all donations. Checks sent to Florida’s Beautiful Homes will be forwarded to the USO.
- Everyone is encouraged to donate – not just Realtors.
- Deadline for donations: Aug. 15, 2010.
Florida’s Beautiful Homes will be collecting checks made out to the USO for this program and will forward them to the USO. Any credit card donations may be made through a website page specifically for this initiative: Support-Our-Troops
