Selling Your Tampa Bay Area Home?

Check that all clutter is removed from the home:

____  Free countertops from clutter and food

____  Remove unnecessary furniture throughout the house

____  Remove everything from the refrigerator that doesn’t belong (Pictures, coupons, etc)  

Check the bathrooms for the following:

____  Clean surfaces and clear out anything that doesn’t belong

____  Clean shower curtains and repair doors and cabinets

____  Clean the floor and freshen up the towels and make sure everything is neatly hung

Check the walls for the following:

____  Clean, paint and freshen up walls and wallpaper

____  Patch and paint any holes or tears in the walls

____  Remove any objects on the walls that are personal

Check the floors for the following:

____  Clean carpet and remove stains

____  Clean hard surface floors and remove stains

Check windows and window coverings for the following:

____  Clean all the windows and check screens and sills

____  Clean draperies and blinds

Check and remove any signs of pets by doing the following:

____  Clean up hair and any other signs of pet wear.

____  Clean and remove kitty litter, pet toys and bedding

Check for odors:

____  Air out the home prior to it being shown

____  Use air freshener to freshen the home but be aware of allergies so use well ahead of showings

You are the one who is ultimately responsible for setting the mood during showings. Check to make sure the following is done:

____  Make sure all draperies and blinds are open

____  Turn on the radio or TV to a classical music station and make sure the volume is set low

____  If you can, cook some cookies to penetrate the air with a welcoming aroma
